BROADWAY MARKETPLACE AT THE
GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE
Washington Heights, Manhattan

Retail
The Broadway Marketplace at the George Washington Bridge will bring brand new retail space to both sides of Broadway between 178th and 179th Streets. In this public- private-partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, PA Associates, along with Acadia Realty Trust and Crowne Acquisitions, will transform this 1960’s era landmark into a modern, aesthetically compelling retail destination and transit center. By providing convenient access to retail alternatives that consumers were previously forced to seek outside Upper Manhattan, Broadway Marketplace at GWB will be heavily patronized by formerly underserved neighborhood shoppers on the central retail corridor of Upper Broadway, as well as the significant bus and subway passenger foot traffic at this major New York City gateway. With a combined total of 200,000 square feet, the new Broadway Marketplace at the George Washington Bridge is an example of how PA Associates has the creativity, the skills, and the fortitude to work with public entities to creating mixed-use projects that foster economic growth for communities.
